The Stroblhof is a wine hotel in Appiano (Eppan), south of Bolzano, surrounded by vineyards at the foot of the Mendel range. It has a secure bike room, a natural swimming pond, several saunas and an indoor pool, plus regional cooking and wine from its own cellar. After every ride there is a short climb back up to the hotel. Good for anyone looking for wellness and good food after a ride.

What makes the Stroblhof special is the mix of a place that has grown over time and modern comfort. The natural swimming pond in the garden with a view of the mountains is made for relaxing, several saunas get tired legs going again, and if you still haven’t had enough, you can swim a few lengths in the indoor pool. Everything you need after a ride is there.
The food here is not about experimenting either, it simply delivers. The cooking is honest, regional and precise, with herbs from the hotel’s own garden and ingredients that suit the surroundings. Breakfast is quietly good, the dinner menu confident. If you like, you can taste your way through the in-house wine list or just stick with your favourite from the day before.
The hotel sits right at the foot of the Mendel range. That also means that after every ride you have to tackle the short climb back up to the hotel.

Es bieten sich zahlreiche Touren ab dem Weingut an, der Mendelpass, Gampenpass, alles gut vom Hotel zu erreichen. Wir haben uns für eine etwas flachere Tour nach Meran entschieden, um dort gemütlich einen Kaffee zu trinken. Am Ende gab es den Kaffee in Lana, was auch sehr nett war :)
